Grandma Judy's Carrot Cake

Grandma Judy makes this cake for family gatherings. She always makes it for the huge family reunions that she hosts. She loves it with lots of walnuts.

1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1-1/2 c. oil
4 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 T cinnamon
3 c. carrots, grated
1 c. nuts

Blend sugars and oil. Beat eggs and add to sugar mixture. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon together. Add to sugar and egg mixture. Add carrots and nuts. Combine together and put in a greased 9x13 loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Once cooled, top with cream cheese frosting.
