Teriyaki Chicken


This is my Mom's recipe.  It's a simple dish and perfect for a quick week-night meal.  It is really yummy served over rice.  

1 cup soy sauce
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. ginger (dried) or 1 tsp. fresh minced

Combine ingredients and place chicken pieces in shallow dish. Pour sauce over. Refrigerate. Turn pieces occasionally. May be kept for up to 3 days. When ready to cook, pour chicken and juices into 9 x 13 pan meaty side down. Bake at 350 for 45 min. Turn pieces over and bake an additional 15 - 25 min. Serve with rice and sauce from the chicken.
