Chili

A delicious Chili recipe from my Mom.  It is the perfect soup for Fall weather. 

1 T olive oil

2 lbs. lean ground beef (or 5 cups)

1 1/2 c. chopped onion

1 c. chopped green pepper

1 T Worcestershire sauce

3/4 tsp. chili powder

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

1/8 tsp. garlic powder

1 (15 oz) tomato sauce

1 (6 oz) tomato paste

1 can peeled tomatoes

1 (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

salt and pepper to taste


Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Crumble in beef. Cook until lightly brown, add onion during final minutes. Drain grease. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer, covered over low 2 hours or in crockpot on low 6 hours. Stir occasionally.
