Sugar Cookies

When I was a girl I visited my cousin Laurie Ballantyne in Utah. I went with her to an activity days activity and received this recipe. We have made these in the shape of "ghosts" every year for Kaleigh's birthday--it wouldn't be October without them!

4 cubes or 2 cups margarine
2 cups sugar
6 eggs
4 tsp. vanilla
7 cups flour
1 Tablesp. baking powder
1 teasp. salt

Blend margarine and sugar till smooth and add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Mix in separate bowl the dry ingredients and then add slowly to wet mixture. Roll out 1/4 " thick. Bake 35O degrees 8-10 minutes or barely brown on edges. Makes 100. Frost with cream cheese frosting.
