Crunchy Homemade Granola

Aimee has shared this recipe and it's always a hit.  I think it will be a regular in our house now too.
Makes about 7 cups
 
4 cups rolled oats (or use six grain or nine grain rolled grain)
1 cup wheat germ (or 1 cup of plain oats)
1 cup slivered or sliced almonds
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup water/apple juice/or white grape juice
6 oz. pkg. craisins or other dried fruit

Mix together oats, wheat germ, nuts, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Make a well and add oil, honey and juice/water.  Toss together and spread on a cookie sheet (lined with parchment)
Bake 20-30- min. at 300 degrees until lightly browned--stir every 10 min. Let cool and stir in craisins. Enjoy!
